Job Summary
Site Engineer to manage and oversee various construction projects, including the installation and maintenance of storage tanks, piping systems, and structural components. This role is responsible for ensuring that all site activities are carried out according to project specifications, timelines, safety standards, and company goals. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in civil or mechanical engineering, with hands-on experience in construction management and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, including the installation of storage tanks, pipe bridges, structural frameworks, and other infrastructure projects.
- Ensure that construction work adheres to project plans, design specifications, and quality standards
- Liaise with project team members, including designers, contractors, and procurement staff, to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Conduct inspections to verify the quality of materials and workmanship, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Document any quality control issues and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of quality materials.
- Track and manage project resources, ensuring that all tools, equipment, and personnel are effectively utilized.
- Conduct routine safety checks, training, and briefings for on-site staff and contractors.
- Communicate project status, milestones, and issues to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of project progress reports, documenting key activities, challenges, and accomplishments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 4+ years of core site engineering experience, preferably in a fast-paced construction or engineering environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools.
- Knowledge of local construction regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Professional certification is a plus.
