Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Audit Assurance Manager to lead audit engagements and manage relationships with key stakeholders. 

The ideal candidate will serve as a primary point of contact for clients, overseeing the execution of audit assignments while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Planning and Strategy: 

  • Design and implement comprehensive audit plans, including risk assessments and resource allocation. Ensure audit engagements are executed efficiently and effectively, from initiation through to completion.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and manage potential risks during the audit process, safeguarding both the clients and AAC Professional Services against unforeseen challenges and ensuring compliance with risk management policies.

Quality Control and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all audit work meets high-quality standards and adheres to Nigerian GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements. Maintain rigorous quality control throughout all audit engagements.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of audit regulations, anti-money laundering laws, and financial products to provide relevant advice to clients.
  • Oversee the project management of multiple client engagements, ensuring efficient and timely completion.

Key Requirements:

  • ACCA, ICAN qualification or overseas equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of audit experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience managing audit teams and mentoring staff.
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian GAAP, IFRS, and International Auditing Standards.
  • Experience in performing substantive audits, consolidations, and group audits.
  • Project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple engagements.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships at senior levels.
  • Working knowledge of financial products, compliance, anti-money laundering, and risk management.
